AKD :project is available to gyms, dojos, Instructors and Coaches, who meet our qualifying criteria.

Gyms and Dojos (if they are brick and mortar - i.e. IRL (in real life) entities) can affiliate as either an official AKD :project TRAINING CLUB. Some Gyms and Dojo go a step further and become Exclusive AKD : project TRAINING CENTRES (or CENTERS depending on where they are based)!  

Instructors and Coaches can affiliate as an Official AKD :project Training Group Instructor or Coach.

Online platforms can affiliate as an Official DIGITAL PARTNER.

There are two possible routes to becoming an affiliate:  1)  If you pre-qualify, and 2) if there are any qualifying steps you need to take.

Either way, we will get in touch and guide you through the (simple) registration process!

In short, any can!

However, there are some general expectations that must be met in order to affiliate so the steps that you will need to take will vary depending on where you are in your journey.

For example, gyms and dojoes with existing Karate, Aikido, Judo, (and similar) instructors and classes - with instructors at first Dan or equivalent, can usually affliate through an accelerated pathway.

Gyms and dojos whose existing base originates in other styles (e.g. kickboxing, BJJ, Chinese-based arts, Combatives etc) will usually have to qualify at least one AKD :project INITIATE programme or Level One instructor before becoming eligible to register as an official TRAINING CLUB.

Aspiring Gyms and individual Instructors/Coaches who have no relevant qualifying background can still progress to affiliation, after undertaking qualifying training at an approved course. 

The only requirement to become an AKD :project Training Club is that you have at least one Instructor who is authorised to teach the INITIATE programme.

Clearly, we assume that you have appropriate training space (although, of course, this doens't need to be a fixed space and can be outdoors, virtual, or any other creative option), and well maintained equipment. 

One thing that we do really lean into is the concept that our instructors should never ask participants to do something that they can't do themselves so, for example, Training Clubs need to have an instructor or instructors who are consistently able to meet the Instructor-level PFTP standard.

AKD :project affiliations are location-specific so each location will need its own affiliation.

However, our objective is to spread the word and build a brilliant community - not to milk as much money as we can - so we've tiered the pricing to ensure that you get maximum benefit across your whole network, as below:

First Affiliate Training Club - 100% fee payable

Second Affilate Training Club - 75% (of full fee)

Thrid Affiliate Training Club - 50%

Fourth (and beyond) Affiliate Traning Club - 25% per club.

The process for registering additional clubs is extremely straightforward and streamlined once your first club is registered and you have at least one AKD :project Instructor in place per location.

You can do whatever you like - it is your gym/dojo, so you decide what you do, when you do it, and how often!

One of the major benefits about being an AKD :project affiliate is that we don't tell you what to do.

Of course, we would like all partners to get he maximum 'bang for their buck' from their affiliation, so the more AKD :project programming you do, the more upside you will see.

So, essentially, you can run a Training Club that is 100% dedicated to AKD :project programmes, or Whether you want a complete daily programming solution or to supplement your existing systems; affiliation meets you where you and your coaches are.

There are two routes:

1.  You can become an Instructor or Coach in another person's facility; or

2. You can affiliate directly and start your own AKD :project initiative.

Yes, you can.

You don't have to have a bricks-and-mortar facility or run an existing dojo to join the partner programme.  We recognise that there are various (and creative) ways that you might want to bring AKD :project to the world which aren't necessarily linked to an existing art, style, or club.  

We are very happy to let you be the judge of that!

Don't forget that you can cancel your affiliation at any time* so there is literally no risk to you, only upside.

*We do ask for 28 days' notice so that we can deal with the administration of things like de-listing from the Training Club directory, deactivating Foundry access, etc, as these will not be available once affiliation is cancelled.
